IWG, the world’s leading provider of flexible workspaces, announced its Spaces brand expansion plans to open five new locations in Singapore by mid-2019 offering a total of 250,000 sq. ft. of co-working space for all sizes of businesses and individuals. The new Spaces locations in Robinson Road, One Raffles Place, TripleOne Somerset, Paya Lebar Quarter and Clarke Quay will add to its existing regional network of 23 locations across Asia Pacific.

Spaces, the Amsterdam-born creative workspace provider, selected Singapore as the first market to kick start its global expansion in Asia Pacific outside of its European roots, with the opening of Spaces at City Hall (a 26,000-sq. ft. area located at 410 North Bridge Road) in September 2016. In just 20 months, Spaces has established firm presence across the region with 23 locations in China, Japan, India, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Philippines, Australia and New Zealand.

Spaces is expanding to all Central Business district (CBD) locations worldwide driven by high demand from their customers. According to an IWG Global Business Survey, it was found that 86% of Singaporeans now work from outside their offices and 78% said that flexible workspaces help drastically reduce set-up costs and the need for capital investment.

Spaces Robinson will offer a wide selection of comfy private offices, fully-serviced designer meeting rooms, a business club catered to networking as well as an event space. Spaces at TripleOne Somerset will provide another 35,000-sq. ft. of flexible workspace spanning across two floors at a newly refurbished premium grade office building. Situated at the prime Orchard Road precinct, the new centre will create inspiring communities where freelancers rub shoulders with start-ups and business nomads to spark creativity. The new location will commence operation in mid-2019.

One more premise will be launched across Clarke Quay in the second half of this year.
