Sleek, stylish, and powerful, the new Huawei MatePad is a 10.4-inch tablet that delivers enhanced performance and supports a rich suite of multimedia features. It offers blazing fast connectivity with Wi-Fi 6, allowing users to download large files and stream HD videos without a hitch, comes fully equipped with a 2K high-definition FullView display and quad-channel speaker system powered by Harman Kardon, making it ideal for streaming videos. Built to be gentle on your eyes while browsing, the tablet’s display comes with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification to help minimise exposure to harmful blue light.

That aside, its lightweight 460g enclosure houses a new 7nm Kirin 820 processor which powers blazing fast speeds of up to 2.36GHz, and its integrated Mali-G57 GPU and NPU systems support smooth performance for intensive gaming and video playback and an overall richer AI experience. The new tablet also supports Wi-Fi 6 with peak download speeds of 2,400Mbps for buffer-free video streaming and speedy file transfers.

More than a productivity powerhouse, the Huawei MatePad is designed to be a perfect companion for everyday entertainment. Featuring a 2K FullView design, the new 10.4-inch Huawei tablet delivers edge-to-edge display with a 16:9.6 slim-bezel display covering 84 per cent of the body. It also offers stunning colour accuracy with its support for 100 per cent of sRGB colour gamut, and incredible levels of detail with a native resolution of 2000×1200 and pixel density of 225ppi.

On top of the high-res display, the Huawei  MatePad also supports Huawei’s proprietary Huawei ClariVu Display Enhancement Technology. A solution designed to boost image and video quality, it leverages advanced algorithms to enhance detail, contrast and more in real time.

Users can immerse themselves in a home theatre-like video and audio experience without headphones through its powerful inbuilt Harman Kardon quad-speaker sound system, which is optimised at the chipset level to support multi-channel sound output. To achieve even greater audio clarity and immersive experience, the tablet is also fitted with the new Huawei Histen 6.1 which features an equaliser and a bass booster to deliver 3D spatial sounds.

The new Huawei MatePad is pre-installed with Huawei Video that offers a varied selection of international drama series, movies and documentaries. New users can also enjoy the first month free on Huawei Video+ Unlimited Pass worth S$7.98 that offers ad-free streaming as well as all-access premium content of the latest entertainment.

With its 7250 mAh large-capacity battery and EMUI’s AI Power Saving technology, the new Huawei MatePad can support up to 12 hours of webpage browsing, or 12.5 hours of local 1080P video playback on a single charge, making binge-worthy videos go on without interruptions. The tablet also supports 10V/2.25A fast charging, which means it takes only 2.5 hours for a full charge that will keep users entertained throughout the day.

Equipped with EMUI 10.1 for better multitasking, users can now do more things, faster and efficiently. With the Multi-Window feature, the Huawei MatePad allows you to run a background app and add floating windows to fit up to three windows on screen. Whether the user is playing games or videos, they can quickly reply to messages on the floating window with no need to exit the game or pause the video.

The new Huawei MatePad also comes with a larger storage of 128GB and the option to expand with a microSD card of up to 512GB (sold separately), allowing users to build an extensive digital library.

The tablet will be available from 22 May 2021 at a retail price of $498 in all Huawei Experience Stores, selected consumer electronic stores including Best Denki, Challenger & Hachi.tech, COURTS, Harvey Norman, Sprint Cass and Huawei official online stores in Lazada and Shopee.
